Commemorating 10 great years in business building the best mandolins available, we want to pay homage to our Weber ancestors who pioneered mandolin building in the last century here in the Gallatin Valley.  Back then, they had to rough out the necks with hatchets, forge their own machine heads, and carve the tops with steam powered chisels.  They carved out the inlay cavities with hunting knives and made the logo out of elk horn.  They had to endure raging blizzards cold enough to freeze the campfire, & tune the instruments with numbed fingers.  It was tough.  Really tough, but they persevered and the company has grown into the maker of world class instruments that it is today.

Our goal at Sound To Earth is to build the finest mandolins
in the world, offer them at a reasonable price, and provide
outstanding customer service to our dealers and players.

Sound To Earth is built on the reputations and experience
of our accomplished luthiers, acoustic design engineer and
our sales and marketing manager. These individuals are experienced in their specialties, coming from diverse backgrounds with expertise in a wide range of skills.
Our luthiers have chosen to build instruments because
they love the artistic and aesthetic expression provided
in luthiery.

We make the finest high quality, handcrafted, instruments available. Our "Weber" instruments are built in America
with solid tone woods. No wood laminates are used. We
hand build our instruments the "right way", with love and attention to detail, ensuring every instrument's integrity
and acoustic personality. Bruce Weber personally graduates
the tops and backs of each instrument to maximize tone
and volume. He is also the final quality check on each instrument, personally playing and signing each instrument before it leaves our shop.

Our customer service is always "user friendly", with
a sense of genuine warmth and small town compassion to our customers and dealers.

Our line is already the most diverse in the industry and we
will continue to explore every facet of acoustic design and construction to improve our instruments in the future. Some examples of our ability to be innovative include the unique "Brekke Bridge", one-piece cast tailpieces, and modified
X-bracing patterns.  All of these innovations improve the
quality or playability of our instruments.

We are small enough to have consistent, high quality and
large enough to deliver high-quality custom instruments in
a reasonable amount of time.
